Clutter Free Tip of the Week

Avoid the dealing with the racket!

It is okay to say “No, thank you.” to free items that others want to pass onto you. I ran into this very situation with a family member this week when they wanted to give me tennis rackets that were 30-35 years old for my children. Our garage is already full of ample supplies for the kids, so I passed on the offer and said I’d donate them to Savers instead.

It may be hard at first to refuse something for fear of hurting others feelings, but if you don’t have a need for the item it’s only going to add to your own clutter. Stay strong and say “No, thank you.” Maybe they can find someone else who could really use the item
